Day 1: Veracruz - Oaxaca

Good day on the roads today. LONG  day from Sea level to 6,000 feet. The Vicky ran great and dad did an excellent job driving. I'm exhausted but here are noteworthy items:

Memo Rojas, a favorite to win, crashed in first (maybe second) stage of day. Word is his crew will have him back in the race.

First scheduled stage of the day was cancelled due to rain and fog. They weren't joking - we could see much further than the front of the hood.

Had chapulines with dinner (Google it). Oaxacan delicacy.

And we won our class today! Here is the obligatory photo with the trophy girls.
We started 38th overall and will start 37th tomorrow.

Hasta mañana!
