It takes two to tango…
Tonight two tango dancers came to the house to give us a special private performance. They are from Junin de los Andes, 30 minutes north of San Martin, and have competed in Buenos Aires. They were graceful to watch and then they gave us lessons so Marcia and Maria Luisa gave it a try. They did their best, but we found out that if you want to dance the tango, you need to practice a lot! We weren’t very good, but we had fun trying. After the tango they danced the native folk dance. It was unusual but charming. Maria and I tried to do this one; at least I was entertaining to the dancers. It was kind of like the Mexican Hat Dance. We all had a great time and it was very special to have this private, live performance.
